Cumulus vs. Premeire = Huckabee vs. Limbaugh the Battle is ON!

“Here’s how this operates in the real world. Limbaugh knows that his share of big markets like Dallas or Atlanta has dropped from his old 5 percent in any given hour to, say, 3 percent. But if he can entice that 3 percent to listen twice as long, he can more than make up the loss.

That imperative explains why Limbaugh kept talking about Sandra Fluke for so long. He was boosting his TSL to compensate for his dwindling market share. Few things boost TSL like getting the old folks agitated over how much sexy sex these shameless young hussies are having nowadays.” David Frum – Mediaite Columnist

UPDATE BELOW: Does Romney profit from both Clear Channel and Cumlulus?

Ruh-Roh! Is Rush in trouble on more fronts than we could have imagined? Scouring the internet for the latest, it is clear that despite a few right-wing blogs – shouting “leftie conspiracy!” the big guy is in trouble.

Rush’s biggest problem might be on his own side of the political aisle as the attraction of a kinder-gentler more polite spouter of right wing extremisms is quietly sneaking up on him, prepared to take over his prime daytime slot.  Read all about it in just a couple of the stories we’ve found below.

But don’t spend too much time reading- you need to be contacting all of the sponsors and affiliates that you can handle before you go out to rake the yard, fix the fence, catch that concert or return your library books or whatever it is we “liberal radicals” do while take a break  from  “demolishing the first amendment.”  The truth is this movement can really make a difference. We can finally draw that line of decency in the national rhetoric that controls the GOP.  Rhetoric can sting and personal attacks on moral character using words to describe women that your mother would have punished you for using – must stop.  Clean Air takes on a whole new and important meaning these days. Let’s get the pollution out of radio air. Help us! Sign petitions, contact sponsors  contact affiliates and share this site and the others like it with your friends.

Huckabee vs Limbaugh: Cumulus aims at Clear Channel (Chicago Trib)

Peter Lauria Reuters  8:01 p.m. CDT, March 16, 2012

(Reuters) – Earlier this week, Cumulus Media sent out an email blast to fellow radio station owners with a photoshopped picture of former U.S. Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, promoting him as the conservative talk radio host of the future.
Though the email did not name Rush Limbaugh, the long-running, top-rated talk radio host whose program is nationally syndicated by Cumulus’ rival, Clear Channel Communications, the intent was obvious to some recipients.   Read the rest of this article here:,0,1729151.story

Will Mike Huckabee’s New Radio Show Hurt Rush Limbaugh’s Numbers? (Mediaite)

by Josh Feldman | 12:56 pm, March 12th, 2012

Mike Huckabee is expanding his media reach to a radio program scheduled to start airing in April. However, the show is scheduled to be in direct competition with none other than Rush Limbaugh. In a column for The Daily Beast today, David Frum thinks Huckabee’s new show might end up hurting Limbaugh’s numbers, and gave some insight into the reasons surrounding decisions by advertisers to leave Limbaugh’s program.

UPDATE – according to this facebook page – posted by someone doing research on this issue – the question now is: Does Willard “Mitt” Romney profit from both Premiere/Clear Channel AND Cumulus? Do Bain’s investments allow them some sort of leverage and control? Is there an Anti-Trust issue here?

Good work. If you’d like to expand on misogynistic judges, namely Judge Cebull; see

and hank you for your efforts.

I listened yesterday to the Rush Limbaugh show (3/16) on 1530 in Sacramento and heard Lifelock and Carmichael Honda advertise. I called Lifelock and said I had heard they dropped Limbaugh (which I had heard) and if that was true then I wanted to buy their service. After talking with a supervisor, the person I was speaking to told me they still advertised with him but did not support his comments. I said, okay, well if you end your relationship with him I will call back and buy your service; I then thanked him for his time and hung up.

I’ll be calling Carmichael Honda today.

Haven’t seen or heard about Llifelock dropping him – Limbaugh is a paid endorser of their product. We are putting together an independent piece about Lifelock – keep checking.

Contact Honda’s national corporate offices – they need to know their brand is being associated w/Limbaugh.
